Withers Worldwide & FAWM Announce Strategic Partnership
International law firm Withers LLP and art investment consultancy Fine Art Wealth Management Ltd have today announced a strategic partnership dedicated to structuring financial solutions around art-related assets. This comes against a backdrop of increasing investment in art globally and a growing acceptance of art as an asset class.
Withers Art & Cultural Assets department is uniquely placed to advise clients on protecting, preserving and enhancing cultural assets. Over the years, Withers’ art law specialists have acted for individual and institutional art collectors, famous artists and prominent dealers in many countries. They have an in-depth knowledge of the international art market and unparalleled experience of cross border transactions and disputes involving art and high value collectibles. With offices in the world’s major private wealth management centres – London, New York, Connecticut, Geneva and Milan - Withers also have 130 international tax and trust practioners and 120 lawyers offering global advice to multinational families and businesses.
Under the terms of the new partnership, Withers and Fine Art Wealth Management will provide tailor-made, structured solutions around art assets including art investment vehicles, leveraged art financing, estate planning and philanthropy. This will provide a much-needed, comprehensive art platform to professional advisors.
Pierre Valentin, Head of the Art and Cultural Assets group at Withers comments: “Art remains an emotive asset, yet given its considerable value, collectors increasingly turn to specialist advisors to help them protect and preserve their collections. We look forward to working with Fine Art Wealth Management to provide a one-stop, complete art solution.”
Randall Willette, Managing Director of Fine Art Wealth Management adds: “We believe an art collection requires the same strategic planning as other financial assets. With the help of skilled advice, it can become an effective working asset for private clients”.
